Sketching love....

I am a big fan of well captured photographs, photographs that tell us a story. I happened to come across this article of Nat Geo which you can read here. One of the moment captured by Jodi Cobb in Italy was absolutely stunning.

There was something unique about the picture, the beautiful wooden windows and the furniture complimenting the girl with tanned legs. White frills adds an illusion of presence of a seraph behind those wooden bars. The angle in which the moment was captured gives the thrill of suspense as only minimal detail about the girl is visible.And....this is one such picture which demanded by complete attention and haunted me until I gave it my personal twist using my pencils.

Did you feel the same way about the photograph like I did? Or did the picture sing a different song to you? Let me know by leaving a comment :) Have a nice day :)

That one friend

Every one of you reading this blog would have had at least one such person in life who has left a lasting impact in your life. It always feels like a part of you were moulded by them. The kind of metamorphosis brought about by that person in your life will be slow and invisible that suddenly one beautiful August morning you wake up to realize how much they mean to you.

I too have one such friend. We were driven by destiny to the same hostel room from different corners of the country. There was hardly anything in common between us. I looked huge while she looked tiny. I was clumsy and naive while she was organized and matured. But slowly it happened that like a key perfectly made to open a lock, our differences only made us more apt companion for each other.

We never walked hand in hand; never expressed our love for each other. I knew where to run for solace at weak moments. She knew it too. If you have had such a friend who has been unexplainably close to heart, do share.

The not-so-girlie girl

The girls who are pink loving and teddy-bear hugging seem to be everywhere around. With a million shades of so many other colors, it is hard to believe that 90% girls love pink (shocking stats isn’t it?) It is sometimes difficult to guess if they actually like all the girly stuff or they just pretend to, just because they would like to desperately fit into the more accepted version of GIRL. The generalization has reached to the extent that to buy myself a normal looking running shoes, with no ting of pink hanging around it, I had to buy it from the men’s section of the store. Let us stop “pinkifying” girls and let them be themselves. Let the society not dictate the girl’s likes and dislike. Am sure there are more girls out there who feel the same way as I do. What say?
Verses of despair from the anti-pink black-blue-loving girls’ community. You can read about more such girls like me here.

My first post :)

Yes... My first post!! Feeling all excited about it. Being a person with an insatiable desire to do new things, learn new skills, blogging has become my new found craze. And I should accept that the reason for this madness is my most favorite Indian author Preethi Shenoy and her blog Much Love!. I intend to fill this space with all my energy that overflows in me every second, almost uncontrollably . I want to discuss about all my passions ( ...the plural 's' in passions wasn't by mistake!! I am equally passionate about every single thing I do). With a wide variety of interests and lot more things to talk about, I am sure to keep you all hooked to my blog.
